மனப்பிறழ்வும் கலையும் - சாரு நிவேதிதா - கடிதம்
அன்புள்ள சாரு,
உங்கள் 'கோபி கிருஷ்ணன் உரை'யில் பங்கேற்றேன். இதுதான் நான் பங்கேற்கும் முதல் கூட்டம்.
மிகவும் அருமையாக இருந்தது. ஒரு பேராசிரியரைப் போல் வார்த்தை வார்த்தையாக விளக்கினீர்கள். அதே நேரத்தில் உங்களுக்கு பிரெஞ்சு இலக்கியம் மீதுள்ள passion அவ்வுரையை வேறொரு தளத்திற்கு கொண்டு சென்றது.
(பொதுவாகப் பேராசிரியர்களிடம் உள்ள குறை என்பது இந்த passion இல்லாமைதான்.)
நான் இவ்வுரையை ஒருவாறு தொகுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.
1. Authority (power) is against madness.
Literature strongly condemns the sickness of the society so, the Authority is also against Literature.
Therefore, literature shows more affinity towards madness.
2. As the literature grasps more and more madness in it, the text will become more and more unpleasant for the common readers. It is not only against the authority of the society but it will also rebel against the authority of one's 'self' itself.
3. The only difference between a man and a madman is the language. Man's language has reason and logic which a madman's language lack, so he has more rights to express himself(speak or write). As the physical world is confined in our mind in the form of man's language, a madman's language will open doors for the other worlds, that he could only explore.
ஏதோ புரிந்தவரை பெற்றுள்ளேன் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.
நான் உங்கள் அபுனைவுகளின் ரசிகன்.
உங்கள் நாவல்களைப் பலமுறை படிக்க முயற்சி செய்து தோற்றுள்ளேன் (0 degree, தேகம்). அதை என்னால் செரித்துக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. "ஏன் இவ்வளவு கீழ்மை?" என்றுதான் நினைப்பேன். (ஆனால் எழுத்து நடையின் சுவாரஸ்யம் அதை கீழே வைக்க விடாது.)
இப்போது உங்கள் உரைக்குப் பிறகு ஒன்று புரிகிறது.
" உலகம் முழுக்க இவ்வாறு எழுதுபவர்கள் உண்டு. அவர்களின் நோக்கம் "ஏன் என் எழுத்தை உன் மனம் கீழ்மை என நினைக்கிறது? அப்படியென்றால் உன் மனம் எதற்கோ கட்டுப்பட்டுள்ளது. அது என்ன? அது எவரால் சமைத்து உனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது ? அவர்(கள்) சொல்வது உண்மையா? வேறு உண்மைகள் ஏதும் இல்லையா? " என்று பல்வேறு கேள்விகளை வாசகனின் மனதில் எழுப்புவதாகத்தான் உள்ளது."
நான் சரியாக பெற்றுக்கொண்டேனா என்று தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் ஒரு நல்ல திறப்பாக உங்கள் உரை அமைந்தது.
